Ry here. Xtina and I were trading songs again and it got me thinking about the show last night. Have you ever listened to an artist whose music can both dominate a festival stage and while also being so intimate that it can make you feel like you’ve been invited to a family dinner? Let me introduce you to Shakey Graves. The first time I saw him live was on the Treefort Music Fest main stage a year earlier. This time, at the Shrine Ballroom, he delivered a stripped-down and emotionally raw acoustic set on a stage that was mostly bare save a single door. A knock on the door, followed by a call out of, “I wonder who that could be.” would introduce us to a special musical guest of Graves. He was our talented host and we were all his neighbors.

Okay, gotta go, Xtina’s calling!

Vibing the track but missed the show? Follow along so you can meet us at the next one, stage left bars, and help us add another song to Xtina’s Infinite Playlist.
